Midsummer Gathering 2013
In the wild wind we rode on goats waving wooden spoons with our shadow sister Tatterhood and walked personal medicine walks in the showers of light summer rain. The smoke of the camp-fire curled around the foxgloves and roses, the stream ran through our consciousness and connected us back to the wild, the land, ourselves.
It was a wonder-full day full of deep sharing, insight and wisdom, though smoky with longing and salt tears. Fiery passions and airy dreaming found their place as we touched back into the earth and opened up to experiencing through all our senses.
We ate spicy roasted vegetables, fresh green leaves, plums and summer pudding – all the rich wealth of midsummer.
Poetry, songs, myth, and the sweet, vibrations of the harp’s call allowed us all to shift consciousness within the safety of the circle and to speak our wisdom.
This was the second of our Gatherings at Green Dragon Barn where we were able to enjoy the cosy comforts indoors and the wild garden and green lane outdoors. So immersed in the day were we all, that no photographs were taken! But Abigail did play the harp and Sue told the tale of Tatterhood and the fire was lit but…..you had to be there!
